The portion of the investment in excess of this amount may be subject to a charge (e.g., the portion exceeding 500,000 euros may be subject to a mortgage).<\/p>\n<p>Another requirement that should not be forgotten is that the investor must prove that he\/she has sufficient economic means to reside in Spain during the 3 years that the visa lasts.
